Fee-Rarissime 2009

Posting a bit late on this event, although the pictures were available on my Flickr photostream since a few months ...

The show was promoted by the Rotary Club Toulouse to sponsor the Association Hopital Sourire, to the advantage of hospitalized childs.

The cars exposed were really fine, and some of them were available for maiden runs. Too pity, it wasn't the case for the queen of the show, a superb Ferrari Enzo:

Ferrari Enzo - IMGP7938

Powered by a V12 rear longitudinal engine of 5998.80 cc delivering 660HP at 7800 rpm and a max speed of more than 350 km/h, accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.65 sec.
Would really have liked to ear the engine roaring ...

If you want to read more about the show, feel free to browse to the Fee-Rarissime official site.

And if you want to see more of these beauties, on my Flickr photostream there are 80 full res 10Mp pictures of the cars ...

I was wondering if you have had any metering issues with the K10d and M series lenses. I use the green button in M mode after choosing an aperture on the aperture ring. I've heard the focus screen is the culprit. Was wondering if you had run into this.

Hi Jon,

At first, thanks for spending your time here and commenting ...

Yes, i do have the same issue, with almost all of my P/K and my M42 lenses ... The only one that perfectly meters with my K10D is a Meyer Orestor 100/2.8, a great short tele ...

Nevertheless, i don't think that the origin is the focusing screen, because i have a Katzeye mounted on right now and this problem is shared between other users with different focusing screens ...

I think it is more likely to be an "issue" with the spot metering, automatically activated as soon as there is an M42 or -K or -M lens on the body (after all, my K10D perfectly meters with my 31/1.8) ... Or, more likely, i still have to learn how to correctly use the spot metering mode ...

What focusing screen do you have on your camera ?
